The Dominion Tankard 2013 Ontario Men’s Curling Championship is coming to Barrie!
The Ontario Curling Association and the Barrie Curling Club are pleased to announce that Barrie has been awarded The Dominion Tankard 2013 Ontario Men’s Curling Championship will take place February 4 to 10, 2013 at the Barrie Molson Centre.

The Ontario Men’s Curling Championship is considered one of the premiere curling events in the province. Eleven teams from across Ontario will compete to represent the province at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier to be held March 2 to 10, 2013 in Edmonton, AB. Past winners of The Dominion Tankard include Glenn Howard, Wayne Middaugh and Mike Harris.
Doug Bakes, Executive Director of the Ontario Curling Association was pleased to be in Barrie to announce the host community for The Dominion Tankard 2013. “The Ontario Curling Association looks forward to Barrie hosting our largest event, The Dominion Tankard in 2013. I’m not sure this event has ever been staged in central Ontario and with the very active OCA clubs in the area including the Barrie Curling Club, I’m sure the championship will be well-organized and supported”.
